Police have arrested media personality Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah following disturbances that erupted during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency elections in Afigya Sekyere East.
The incident occurred amid heightened tensions at the polling venue, where disagreements among party members reportedly escalated into disorder.
Eyewitnesses said the situation turned chaotic, prompting security personnel to intervene and restore calm.
According to reports, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah is alleged to have engaged in actions that contributed to the disruption, leading to his arrest by the police.
The Ghana Police Service has not yet disclosed the specific charges against him but has confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
