Kwabena Boakye invokes curses on Abro over Vivian Jill saga

It appears the ongoing tension between Ghanaian actor Kwabena Boakye and media personality Abro has taken a new turn after the actor publicly invoked curses in response to comments made about him.

Recently, Abro lambasted Boakye during an interview on Royal TV following the latter’s accusations involving actress Vivian Jill.

Abro, in his outbursts, claimed that Kwabena Boakye was once apprehended by the Ghana Police Service and alleged that he personally assisted in securing his release.

The media personality further stated that Kwabena Boakye would not have gained recognition without the support and exposure he received from Vivian Jill.

However, reacting to Abro’s comments, Kwabena Boakye, who appears displeased responded by publicly invoking curses against the media personality.

In a video that circulated on social media and sighted by GhanaWeb on June 14, 2026, the actor was seen pouring libation while issuing the curses.

According to Kwabena Boakye, Abro’s statements were false, insisting that it was his friend, not him, who had been arrested by the police.

The actor further explained that he was the one who later secured his friend’s release and that Abro had no involvement in the matter as alleged.

Pouring schnapps and invoking the gods of Techiman, Kwabena Boakye said:

“Nana, I am not from Techiman, but we are here to work, and I have heard how powerful you are. There is a man called Abro who is claiming online that I was arrested and that he was the one who bailed both my friend and me.

“But that was not the case. He played no role in the matter. My friend spent the night in jail, and I was the one who secured his release the following day. I was never arrested. I want the gods to judge this. If he is lying, deal with him,” he said.

Kwabena Boakye further stated that if anyone attempts to reverse the curses, the gods should intervene.

He added that if Abro regrets his comments, he should publicly apologise on social media, after which they could decide on the next step.

“If he regrets what he has done, he should come out publicly and apologise, and after that we will see what we can do,” he added.
